Happy Hour

Did somebody say dwanks? (Jessie Woo voice)

According to Esquire, the happiest time of day runs from 5 and 7 p.m.. Happy hour is like music to my ears, it’s like a praise break in church when the choir director catches the Holy Ghost; it’s that much of a blessing. You can ball out on a budget and get lit for less. Listen the world isn’t perfect but happy hour is good for the mind, body and soul.

Whether you’re fresh off of work, meeting a new bae, seeing girlfriends or just taking a personal day, happy hour is the melting pot for great meet ups. The ambience of bars and restaurants are light and playful; which is the perfect environment for just about anything. Besides, who doesn’t love affordable drinks and food?

Living in Albany, I get the best of both worlds. I get to experience the local bars around town. Along with the family owned and chain restaurants. Having local bars in the neighborhood can be a positive because you don’t have to travel much. Your savings from Uber and Lyft can be used to buy your favorite cosmo and app.

 I’m going to let you all into a few of my favorite inexpensive happy hour huts. You’re in for a treat because majority of these places have double the hour. You can enjoy the regular happy in the day with your coworkers and then get together with a few of your friends at night. The late happy hour is usually 9 p.m. to close or 10 p.m. to close, depending on the business.

Dave & Busters but they don’t have happy hour on Sunday;

Red Lobster & Friday’s has happy hour everyday at the bar with certain specials,

Applebee’s & Buffalo Wild Wings only Monday through Friday 2 p.m. to 7 p.m. and 10 pm to 12 a.m.

If you’re ever in Albany, NY, Bombers, Mexican restaurant, is the place for a peach margarita. The rich flavor will have you feeling real peachy. Tell them Ashley sent you. Make every shot, beer, and drink count and then have one for me.
